The Leda desk lamp combines hand-blown, known for hundreds of years, glass with the most state-of-the-art in light technology – LEDs. Although the whole lamp is made of transparent glass, it is hard to make out what is glowing in this lamp. A high-quality LED module is hidden under the lamp’s base and the light is directed fibre-optically through the lamp’s swanlike neck (hence the name Leda) straight onto the book being read or the computer keyboard. An advantage of this solution is that the light of the Leda lamp does not dazzle your eyes, which is the case with most lamps using the LED technique.
